After some persistent hounding...

From Kirstin, I am now officially writing my first blog entry.


I'm not really sure what to write, hopefully it will be witty.  Hopefully.


What I'm trying to achieve at the moment (apart from being fabulous) is rehab and recovery on some injuries I've received due to my body being a bit bung.  


How did I get bung?  In 2003 I thought that skateboarding would be an AWESOME idea and on my first adventure (read: misadventure) to the skate bowl, I bailed rather badly.  


Result?  A small fracture in my lower spine.  It really hurt.  It was a pain in the ass (heh).


This has caused a few problems, more recently a bulging disc that was doing funny things to the nerves on my left side.  That's better, but now I'm having problems with the muscles in my leg and foot.  I'll keep you posted on that, but after one visit to the podiatrist I have found out that I stand a bit gammy, and walk even more gammy.  I'm off to the track next weekend for a running analysis so I'll keep you posted.


So what's my goal?  On the path to increasing fabulousity I'm getting myself strong enough to start running again.  I want to be able to train and complete a half marathon next year.  Without breaking, thanks.


Anything else?  Like Kirstin, get rid of the toxic stuff in my life... including junk food.  More on that later.
